Carnival Morning

By on Tuesday 22nd November, 2011

from ‘Manha do Carnaval’ by Luis Bonfá

To mourning, this beautiful morn,
To life do I sing this new song,
Mumbling about your eyes,
Your hands, of course your smile,
Hoping one day, maybe,
You’ll realise…

Across my guitar stretch these strings,
Regarding your love do they ring,
A voice is heard,
Speaking of beauties unfurled,
In longing,
For your long lost lips…

Oh my heart it sings,
Felicity it brings,
Over dawn this fresh love gives me wings
