Impressions (dear Alma)

By on Tuesday 22nd November, 2011

Met a lady named Soul
On that birthday train
We swapped our life stories
And banter all the same
She spoke to me of love
That intricate game
With that silent understanding
We’d never see each other again

It’s those little impressions
That move us on our way
Those little impressions
On unexpected days
Those little impressions
That renew our faith
Now Alma’s in my alma
Now I’m’a fly away!

So when I’m blowin’ in the wind
Don’t know which way to sail
I think of dear Alma
And her dirty lovers’ tales
The mouse in my tummy
Transforms into a whale
And I know which ever way
I choose to go that I will never fail

It’s those little impressions
That move us on our way
Those little impressions
On unexpected days
Those little impressions
That renew our faith
Now Alma’s in my alma
Oh Alma’s in my alma
Oh Alma’s in my alma
Now I’m’a fly away!
