Waging the never ending war is great
Riding bandwagons and tempting your fate
But if you don’t make time for an old friend
There’ll be no one left in the end
Pissing on facism, fighting is right
Building the barricades all through the night
Resisting the robots who drink blood stained tea
Who’re no longer conscious of community
But if you can’t make old time for a friend
Are you any better than them?
Living and loving by example is fine
Risking both mind, neck and soul on the front line
But these processes start in the home
Fail that and you’ll wake up alone
So weigh up the time that you spend
And always make time for an old friend.
